H2O International

For over 10 years we were responsible for all the marketing, advertising and brand management for H2O International South Africa, UK and the Head Office in USA. We worked mainly with H2O International South Africa.

During our time, H2O South Africa tripled their number of franchisees and increased web sessions from 4000 to 26 000 per month within a few years. They occupied stop ranking in google for all of their product ranges and their brand grew and evolved over the years to become the dominant water filter brand in South Africa.

Tasks, Benefits and Achievements for H2O International South Africa

  1. We were an integral part of the success of H2O International South Africa, taking them from a small company in 2002 to the dominant water filter brand in the country.
  2. While the head office staff and franchisees could focus on building their businesses and doing sales, we, nationwide:
    • Developed, maintained and managed the H2O brand.
    • Created marketing and advertising strategies for print, radio, internet (and occasional TV presence).
    • Created all their print sales collaterals; leaflets, brochures, exhibition stands, banners, folder, business cards and so on.
    • Created and maintained all their online promotional elements; SEO, banner adverts, Adwords, social media, blogs, email campaigns, online competitions, lead capture and lead nurture.

Their Slogan

H2O had the rather bland slogan “Refreshing Quality”. And water can be a little ‘blander’ than, let’s say, Pina Colada. Yet, water, colourless and practically tasteless, is the route to health for human beings.

We change the slogan to “Drink and Thrive” to emphasise hi enthusiastic one can look at the beauty of healthy purified water.

When H2O added other products to the line which did not involve water filtration, like a filters and coffee machines, we change the slogan to “Here’s to Life!”.

From 2010 we raised their website sessions from about 4000 per month to over 26 000 per month and we reduced the bounce rate from 42% to 12%.
